I like to do things fast and without watching over boiling eggs, so I decided to try this method of boiling hard boiled eggs.

I just discovered this easy to peel hard boiled egg technique After having a terrible time trying to peel a very cold egg. I put it in the microwave oven for 15 seconds and it peeled like a dream. I think my refrigerator is set a bit too cool.

  • 4 Medium Eggs
  • 1 Quart Hot Water

Instructions

  1. Gently Place 4 Eggs into a 1 Quart Saucepan (Choose Uncracked Eggs when Possible)
  2. Fill Saucepan with 1 Quart Hot Water (within 1 inch from the Top of Saucepan)
  3. Turn Heat on High
  4. Turn on Timer for 15 Minutes
  5. Drain Water and Run Cold Water on Eggs for 1 Minute
  6. Peel While Warm then Refrigerate until Cool

I used to crack the egg where ever and it makes a HUGE difference on which part of the egg you crack. The blunt end of the egg has a bit of a hollow end. Perfect Boiled Eggs and How to Peel Eggs

These tips are so simple and maybe most of you already know how long to boil eggs to have perfectly cooked hard boiled eggs but I used to put the pan on the burner, wait for it to boil, set the timer and then remove. I finally decided to check how long it takes from start to finish without waiting for the water to boil.

I am always looking for quicker and more efficient ways to use my time so I was really happy that I FINALLY started using this method.

My husband taught me just a few years ago how to peel eggs. He thought everyone knew this tip too but when I told my family his tip, they said they never knew about this easy method to peel hard boiled eggs.
